Land Acknowledgement:
Mind Body Bliss (Collective Therapies) respectfully acknowledges that we are situated on Treaty 6 territory. This is the traditional and ancestral land of the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, and other Indigenous peoples. We recognize their enduring presence and their deep connection to this land.
Committment:
I am committed to taking actionable steps to create a space where Indigenous cultures are honoured and respected. As such, regarding smudging, dreamcatchers, and drum circles and practitioners who use Indigenous practices or products must commit to the following:
-Proper context and knowledge: Practitioners must have a deep understanding of the cultural protocols, purpose, and proper way to use Indigenous practices and products. This includes understanding the spiritual significance of these practices and products.
-Purchasing products from Indigenous peoples: Practitioners must purchase their Indigenous products from Indigenous-owned businesses or organizations. This ensures that the money from these purchases goes directly back to Indigenous communities.
-Smudging: Practitioners who wish to use smudging in their practice must have a thorough understanding of the cultural protocols and purpose of this ceremony. They must also use ethically sourced smudging materials.
-Drum circles: Practitioners who wish to lead drum circles must have experience leading drum circles in a culturally sensitive and respectful way. They must also be able to provide education to participants about the cultural significance of drumming.

We strive to create a space where all feel welcome and empowered to be their authentic selves.
